“Animal farm” – May 15th, 2023

My magnum opus. I caught lightning in a bottle. I’d be lying if I said the idea of doing a piece from start to finish on camera wasn’t terrifying. But I did it, and I have never felt more like a true artist. This piece is about the re-contextualization of media. The novel Animal Farm was written from a pro-socialist, pro-communist perspective, but after being purchased by the FBI, it was added to United States school curriculums as being pro capitalism. How is it that art gets captured by an agenda? And in the process of doing so, can be completely flipped on its head.
