“2023” – May 7th, 2023

It is a privilege to be alive in this new age. Fear of A.I. dominates conversation. Since the 1950s, cautionary tales of imbuing power to machines have been told in science fiction. Stories from pop culture’s past are writing themselves into our present. This is our reality now. To me, the introduction of A.I. into our cultural cannon is a turning point. A metamorphosis. And as a visual artist it is my responsibility to document it.

Hollow politicians turn a deaf ear to morality. Greed and lust are rewarded in current systems. And the divine continues to change, as represented with my motif of the claw.  This was the most challenging piece of the collection given the immense responsibility of doing so many different topical themes justice.
